Gordon Keig is the Principal of Pennant Development in Scottsdale, Arizona. Prior to forming Pennant Development, Gordon was a Partner with Kornwasser Shopping Center Properties (KSCP) and has developed shopping centers in eight western states. During his tenure with KSCP, he developed neighborhood and community shopping centers with anchor tenants such as Target, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Albertson’s, WinCo Foods, CVS, Walgreens and many other national and regional retailers and restaurants.
Gordon was the Southwest Division Senior Real Estate Manager at Albertson’s, Inc. from 1996 to 2003. He was responsible for the development of Albertson’s Grocery Stores, Osco/Sav-On Drug Stores and A-Express Fuel Centers in Arizona, New Mexico, West Texas and Southern Nevada.
With over three decades of retail brokerage and development experience, Gordon has significant market knowledge throughout Arizona and New Mexico as well as Las Vegas, El Paso, Salt Lake City and Spokane. In addition to those metropolitan areas, Gordon has developed in rural areas including Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, California, Oregon, Washington, Montana and Wyoming.
From 2008 to 2011, Gordon served as the Arizona/New Mexico State Director for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He remains an active participant in many of ICSC’s statewide and regional programs. He served as ICSC’s Western Division Government Relations Chair and currently serves on the PAC Management Board. In 2018, he was honored with the ICSC Trustees Distinguished Service Award.
Gordon graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Claremont McKenna College (Claremont, CA) in 1985. After college, Gordon returned to his native Phoenix. He has been married to Dana, his partner in Pennant Development, since 1986. Together, they are the proud parents of twin daughters.
